Radio School in Nagpur Started to Ease the Impact of COVID-19
It is a unique move by the civic body as it allowed the radio school in Nagpur to get started just to ease the impact of the virus outbreak. As per reports, the venture known as School Outside School, which happens to be the Government’s ambitious scheme often called the ‘Result oriented study, which is based skill development programme’ carried out with the name has got the city NMC head nod. With this project, the Radio School carried out under the All India Radio Nagpur (MW 585 Khz or 512.8 mt) has now started working in the city from May 1.
As per reports, the broadcasting of the programmes by the said radio has started working from May 1 on every Tuesday and Friday which is twice in a week at 10.35 am. The key idea behind the special educational radio program is to offer the students regulara study options at home during the lockdown phase. As per the School Education Department, the students are now required to listen to the program on a regular basis and thus continue their studies on the available time through the radio program as per class and subject.
The Department of Women and Child Welfare and Department of Education Zilla Parishad have come together to have a classified list of parents along with their mobile numbers, and whatsapp numbers meant to send the study material on their mobile phones. The program has been organised with the help of Anganwadi Sevika along with the teachers, while the study material are also put under different categories like pre-primary, standard 1,2and standard 3 to 5.
