National level film distributor named Manohar Wadhwani has said that “This is great news for everyone. Because crowds of audience have been seen in cinemas across India. We had many Housefull shows on Fridays in Nagpur district alone. Which is also a very good sign for this area.“

Manohar has also said that “A lot of people also come for the material. When we’ve reopened before, Then there was absolutely no new material of any kind to show everyone. And so the response was also very bad.“

Drink or food not allowed

All the cinema halls were closed for a long time and after tireless lobbying by the unions, they were allowed to be reopened once. The reopening of cinema halls came with such strict protocols that many feared that it might kill too much buzz about the movie-watching experience.

A cinema hall owner has also said that “Drinking or eating is not allowed in the cinema hall at all, it is like enjoying only up to 50% of the fun. And there is another rule of alternate seating. No other business follows this second rule. Do you have all this in your flight, train, restaurant, bus, etc.? Yet it is the people who have finally spoken. He wanted to come back to the cinema and was waiting for only one superhit film.“

Cinema halls in Nagpur witnessed more bookings for the afternoon slot, which can also be seen emerging as the preferred time slot in the afternoon.

Another theater owner has also told that the government should take the step now and relax all these restrictions. The owner has also said that “The new movies are still in the release line and our schedule is also packed at the time of Christmas. But we are doing this work only with up to 50% capacity. And which most simply means that our potential revenue will also become half. This state government should understand that the business of many people is also related to livelihood.“
