‘Restaurant on Wheels’ to be soon at Nagpur station
This project is in line with the innovative ideas of Indian Railways' Catering Policy announced in the year 2017.
Nagpur: ‘Restaurant on Wheels’ is going to set up very soon by Nagpur Division of Central Railway in the west direction of the station. This restaurant will be one of the 5 other locations at Chinchwad, Akurdi, Baramati and Miraj stations of Central Railway.
‘Restaurant on Wheels’ has been opened in Mumbai CSMT 2 days back. This project is in line with the innovative ideas of Indian Railways’ Catering Policy announced in the year 2017.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (SrDCM) named Krishnath Patil. He has said that the restaurant. Which will be the operational within 1 month. Will be built with the help of an abandoned AC-III rail coach which will also become a landmark dining hall at the station. With the help of this project, the railways will have an annual income of up to Rs 42 lakh. Which Haldiram has achieved.
Restaurant Rates & Menus
Krishnath Patil has also said that there will be only a food space inside half the coach while there will also be a takeaway counter. By Krishnanath Patil interiors of the restaurant will be furnished in such a way that every single visitor as well as the public can enjoy the experience of dining in a rail-themed setting with great ease.
As per the market rates the menu and rates of the restaurant shall be decided by the licensee approved by the Railways. The restaurant will remain open to the general public and passengers as well.
The CPRO of Central Railway, whose name is Sanjay Sutar. He has said that the Central Railway now plans to open similar restaurants inside Lonavala, Kalyan, Neral, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Igatpuri of Mumbai division.
