Spend allotted amount by March end: Guardian Minister to officials

Nagpur: An amount of about Rs.669.34 crore has been received for various development schemes under the annual plan of the district. But till the month of November, only about 50.56 percent of the amount could be spent. It is the responsibility of the heads of various departments to send funds on this scheme, Because of this, they should make a proper plan to utilize this money by the date of March 31, 2022. District Nagpur Guardian Minister Dr. Nitin Raut has indicated on Thursday that action will also be taken against the chiefs who fail to spend the amount by the same time.
Guardian Minister for Nagpur district was speaking at a meeting of District Planning Committee (DPC) held in Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall in Civil Lines. Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner, Vimla R, District Collector, Manoj Suryavanshi, Sunil Kedar, Minister for Animal Husbandrya and Dairy Development, Rashmi Barve, President of Nagpur Zilla Parishad, Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, Krupal Tumane, Chairman, Nagpur Improvement Trust, Vikas Thakre, Adv Ashish Jaiswal, MP, Krishna Khopde, Mohan Mate, Raju Parwe, Nago Ganar, all Legislators, Yogesh Kumbhejkar, Chief Executive Officer, Vikas Kumbhare, Praveen Datke, Nagpur ZP, nominated members of DPC, special invitee members and officials of various machineries were present in the meeting.
Jaljivan Mission Scheme Approved
Dr. Nitin has also said that to deal with the situation of covid, much-needed funds were made available to IGGMCH and GMCH through this district plan. Praised the public representatives and the administration for doing a very good job during this period. Right now the cases of the Omicron virus are also increasing significantly. And for this reason, measures to take proper precautions are also being implemented. At the same time, a lot of momentum is being given to the development schemes in this district. The chiefs should also ensure that the allocated funds do not remain unutilized. After obtaining this technical and administrative approval, they should issue the order for disbursement of funds within a week.
He has also told that a special plan was also prepared for underground electric cables in the city and district of Nagpur, In which an amount of Rs. About 350 crores, while MERC approved the same scheme.
Dr. Nitin has also reviewed the various activities going on in this district. On this occasion, the people’s representatives have given very valuable suggestions.
The draft plan for the year 2022-23 has also been discussed in this meeting. About Rs.332.14 crore Jaljivan Mission scheme has also been approved. Initially, Vimal R has also welcomed the guests. And introductory remarks have also been made. The meeting was also conducted by District Planning Officer Rajesh Gaikwad and proposed a vote of thanks.
