Disobeying order of collector, Police book 500 for taking out morcha

SP Dilip Patil-Bhujbal has said that the Collector of the district has banned the gathering of more than 5 persons in Pusad town by implementing Section 144 of Cr PC.

Yavatmal: Pusad Police has registered a case against 450-500 participants of Maha Akrosh Morcha on Friday in Pusad for their demands organized by Gor Banjara Sena.

SP Dilip Patil-Bhujbal has said that the Collector of the district has banned the gathering of more than 5 persons in Pusad town by implementing Section 144 of Cr PC.

Representatives of different groups had also applied on their letterhead for prior permission from the police officials for the rally. Dilip has said that so far we have identified more than 450-500 members, Whose names were also on the letterhead and the crime was registered against all of them.

More than 40,000 people reportedly took part in the morcha, While the police officers stopped the vehicles carrying people from different parts of this district.

FIR registered and police arrested

A delegation had also met the SDO of Pusad and submitted a memorandum of their demands in the 1st case of road rage, in which a member of the community also died.

On the date of December 3, there was road rage between Laxman Rathod and 1 youth of village Kali (Daulat Khan). A group of these youths allegedly attacked Laxman’s younger brother Shyam with a sword. Shyam died on the spot due to this blow.

An FIR has been registered against 6 people and they have been arrested by the police officers.

Each of the accused has been produced in court. The police obtained his PCR twice and the accused are still in magisterial custody.

Gor Banjaras is not at all happy with the proceedings and is also demanding a hearing in a fast-track court. Gor Banjaras has also demanded a compensation of about Rs 25 lakh each to the family of the deceased.
