Decision on offline or online examination is likely by the weekend

Vice-chancellor Subhash Chaudhari has said that some developments are happening according to his knowledge.

Nagpur: Nagpur University vice-chancellor Subhash Chaudhari broke his silence on Wednesday after he pulled up lakhs of students and their parents over the methodology of summer exams. He has also released a very short video announcing that the final decision will probably come out by the end of this week itself.

Vice-chancellor Subhash Chaudhari has said that some developments are happening according to his knowledge. They have also heard that some universities are willing to reverse the decision on offline examinations. The VCs of all universities will meet once again to discuss the same issue and take stock of the current situation. And the final decision will probably be revealed to everyone by the end of this week.

Chaudhary also promised all the final year students that their papers would be completed in any condition before the date of July 15.

Even while admitting that the students of about four districts under the jurisdiction of NU were under delusions, the Vice-chancellor Subhash Chaudhari also said that there were many reasons behind this.

NU students are in the dark about the online/offline mode

Subhash Chaudhari has said that he has to compulsorily follow the state-level decision taken during the VC’s meetings on April 13 and 25, and his preparations are the same. And along with this, a note has also been received from the government in which they have been instructed to keep the documents in offline mode. And it is also his suggestion to all the examinees that they should take the exam very seriously, whether it is online or offline. They should study it in advance, the mode of the exam is a secondary part only.

Along with this, due to the laxity of the administration on the same issue, only NU students are in the dark about the online/offline mode. Other universities like Gondwana and Amravati have also already announced that they will conduct the offline examination as decided in the two VC meetings.

Even the state higher and technical education department had sent a letter instructing the students to conduct the examination in offline mode from June 1 to July 15.
