In the recent Coronavirus outbreak in the country, we now have officially the first case for the virus. As per reports, a man from Nagpur who has just returned from the USA has been tested positive for the said virus. He is now being admitted at the IGMC Hospital on Wednesday when he was seen with similar symptoms. With this man, we have the first official case in Nagpur of a man getting affected by the Covid 19 virus. After admitting the man was tested positive for the said virus.
As per reports, this remains the first case in the city confirmed Dr. D Paturkar from the IGMC. Talking about the patient, the doctor said he is 45 years of age and is kept under the separate ward to avoid the spread of the virus to other places. Mr. Ravidra Thakkare the DC of Nagpur city is also expected to share the precautionary guidelines for the same. As per the hospital sources, the man was traveling from the US to Mumbai on 6th March and then returned to Nagpur after his three days stay in Bombay.
He was then reported at the hospital two days before and then was admitted at the IGGMCH for the treatment. He seemed to have a fever without any other major symptom of the virus. The city doctors claimed that the Mumbai Airport was unable to find out the virus while he made his exit from the same. Meanwhile, a Pune couple traveling to Dubai has been affected by the virus. These patients have been kept in isolation for obvious reasons and are further treated for the same.
