On the eve of Eid-e-Milad certain organizations led by the city Muslim body – Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Nagpur Metro has organized a Blood Donation camp recently. The blood donation camps were organized at five different locations like Jafar Nagar, CA Road, Momipura and Teka to name a few on the auspicious day of Eid-e-Milad, which is observed all over the world to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed. The said organization has been organizing the blood donation camps every year.
The camp got an overwhelming response in the city with more than 1000 volunteers came forward to donate the blood to save the lives of people from the marginalized section of our society. The camp also attracted prominent citizens of the city including Rahul Maknikar DCP Crime Branch, Mr. Ramjaane DSP CB, Mr. Mude SP, and Mr. R Maliv along with Congress Youth President, Mr. Bunty Baba was also present. These dignitaries applauded the efforts of the organization.
The medical team was led by Dr. Aziz Khan of Cresent Hospital the known healthcare unit in Nagpur. He along with the other doctors supported the organization at the camp in getting more than 850 blood bags, which were deposited to both the private and government banks in the city. The camps got support from organizations like Medical Services Society (MSS), Youth Wing and Ideal Relief Wing (IRW) who supported JIH Nagpur metro for the camps making them successful. Dr. Anwar Siddiqui has thanked the city organizations and volunteers who have supported this cause in city.
