A big news therefore the YCCE College as the Engineering college has got the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for six undergraduate programs. The six Undergraduate (UG) programmes of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering which is an Autonomous Institution affiliated to Nagpur University or RTMNU. The college is known for its various engineering programs.
As per reports, the college has now bagged the same accreditation for six of its programs including Civil,Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Information Technology, which will be valid for the students from batches 2020-21 to 2022-23. Earlier, the college has got its accreditation to above programmes for three years from 2017-18 to 2019-20.
The college has also been accredited under NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore) and remains the ‘A’ grade under autonomous institute category. YCCE ranks 134th rank in the country. Before getting the NBA Accreditation, a three member team from the NBA has visited the premises. The said team called as the NBA Expert Committee visited the premises to talk to the students and staff. They also checked the learning and administrative/ academic processes. They also checked a couple of things including infrastructure facilities, and support departments along with checking the various documents.
