Live Nagpur Election Results - Tough Fight Between BJP & Congress
The much-awaited day is here when the election results are to be declared today for the Maha Assembly Elections. It was a single-phase elections in the state when the entire districts of Maha geared up to cast their vote. The city recorded around 55 per cent of turn out for the six different seats’ fate for a dozen of contestants fighting on different seats. The election commission the following schedule, which can be called as the timeline for today’s activities:

Other Updates:
- 6.30 am – Sealed EVMS to be shifted to the counting areas from 12 strong rooms in Nagpur district
- 8 am – Counting of the postal ballots to begin and the postal voting will be scanned followed by the other.
- 8.30 am – 20 EVMs to be put on a single table and the EC staff would start pressing the result button.
- 9.30 am – First phase announcements to be made and the next would follow after every 45 minutes by a different set of staff allocated for the work.
However, before the election results are announced, VVPAT slip verification would be carried out by choosing five VVPATs in random with the voting slip. The figure is then matched with the EVM count, which is expected to be completed within an hour. So, it will be post-midnight when the election results would be declared in City and the state at large.
