Nagpur: The announcement of Dr. Ravindra Bhoyar’s candidature for the MLC elections by the Congress Party came as a great surprise to many. Especially since he comes from a staunch RSS and Bharatiya Janata Party background. The President of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) whose name is Nana Patole. As Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President, you could choose any candidate from within the party. But you have taken this risk with Bharatiya Janata Party fear.
This politics is about taking risks. And you have to take the decision keeping in mind all kinds of factors on the basis of grassroots level inputs. Our decision is the result of a lot of thought and consideration of the future scenario. And now that this decision has been taken. Then we are proceeding very aggressively for this election. Now this candidate of ours is going to win. Because we have done our homework well. And also found out that his chances are very high.
With so many factions in District Nagpur Congress, will Ravindra get this chance?
We are all the same, there is no doubt about it. And I can give you a full guarantee as Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President that every senior leader of Nagpur is doing this work as a unit. There is complete coordination and an open line of communication with each one.
After all, will all this also turn into Ravindra’s vote?
I would like to reiterate once again that all decisions are taken after much deliberation. And I know Nagpur district very well because I was a Lok Sabha candidate of my party. And I have visited every nook and corner of this district and am very well aware of what is happening at the ground level. There will certainly be some surprise when the votes are counted.
Bharatiya Janata Party has also started consolidating its votes very much.
