EC Accepts Fadnavis Nomination rejecting opposition’s objection
As the Maha CM Devendra Fadnavis was applying for his nomination for the Nagpur West Seat in the upcoming Assembly election, the opposition made all sorts of hue and cry to put a hold to his nomination. However, amidst all the opposition by the different political parties and individuals, the EC accepted his nomination paper rejecting all the arguments of people.
One of the objections raised by the opposition was the use of one-year-old notary stamp to file the nomination form. To this, the election commission officials rejected saying that these are trivial things to be raised by any for filing the nomination. Also, other allegations seemed to have made headlines for the Maha CM including the two old pending cases against him and the wealth and assets that have grown for him and his wife for the past five years as he has remained in power.
Along with Fadanavis, the other leaders of the opposition and other parties also filed their nomination to the EC. These include Ashish Deshmukh from the Congress Party, Amol Hadke from Aam Aadmi Party Nagpur, and Adv Satish Ukey who has raised his objection against the CM about the two pending cases against Fadnavis in the Nagpur courts.
