Nagpur: Former minister Bacchu Kadu on Wednesday asked chief minister Eknath Shinde and CM Devendra Fadnavis to be completely clear on the allegations whether they had given “50 boxes” to Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena MLAs and independent MLAs to switch sides.
Badnera MLA Ravi Rana, addressing a press conference to completely deny the allegations leveled by Former minister Bacchu Kadu, Prahar Sanghatan President also said that CM and Deputy CM should come out publicly whether they have actually bribed the MLAs.
“Anybody could be behind Rana’s baseless allegations against me. If chief minister Eknath Shinde and CM Devendra Fadnavis do not respond, I will launch an agitation in my own style against them,” he said.
Former minister Bacchu Kadu had also lodged a police complaint against Rana
Rana and Former minister Bacchu Kadu, both from Amravati, are at loggerheads over the former’s allegations that they took Rs 50 crore to reach Guwahati While relinquishing the post of his Minister of State. In this regard, Former minister Bacchu Kadu had also lodged a police complaint against Rana.
“I have been in active politics for the last two decades, but never faced such dirty allegations. The opposition has been targeting us on this issue, but when the people of the ruling party leveled them, it became difficult. Wherever we go people have started raising questions on this issue.” Said a clearly upset Former minister Bacchu Kadu.
Challenging Rana to prove the allegations, the Achalpur MLA said that more than 50 MLAs are annoyed by making such arbitrary allegations. “Even the CM Eknath Shinde and the deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis are facing similar charges. If they do not respond, I will send them a notice to clarify my position on the issue. Now I will expose Rana on various fronts,” he said, asking for an apology.
