Nagpur: Maharashtra Republic Day float, dedicated to the biodiversity, flora, and fauna of the state, has won the award for the most popular choice of tableau in the format of online voting.
The float was made in the Vidarbha region by artists from Yavatmal and Nagpur and the recognition of his hard work has made him very happy.
Rahul Dhansare, one of the directors of Shubh Ad says that the credit goes to his entire team of around 30 trained artists. Most of them are also alumni of the College of Painting, Nagpur. Although they have also settled in Yavatmal, Nagpur, and Pune as professionals, They are also coming together for the Republic Day tableau for the last two years.

Design the beautiful peacocks
Naresh Charde of Nagpur, who played the main role, has said that his hard work has paid off. In the same year, the subject was very challenging. It was also a real challenge to make sculptures of lesser-known animals like shekru. He also thanked the Director of Cultural Affairs Bhibhishan Chawre for his continued support. Roshan Ingole and Tushar Pradhan, both of the Vidarbha region, were also prominent idols for the float.
Most interestingly, the tableau after the Republic Day parade was criticized by a section of people on social media for its poor presentation of the peacock. Artists have said that it was not a part of their tableau earlier at all. This was also the last-minute decision by the Delhi authorities and because of this, they did not have time to design the beautiful peacocks.
Rahul has said that he had received an overwhelming response from people who went on the float on and after January 26. From other states, people also decided to take pictures with our tableau. And this is the reason that the tableau has got only about 23% of the total votes cast by the people across the country.
