Male Tiger Sahebrao rejects artificial limb leading the doctors’ team disappointed

Sahebrao has been making news in the media since past few days as the male tiger lost its limb. However, the animal was brought forward on the operation table of city veterinarians and orthopaedicians. They tried their best to fix the artificial limb of the animal but to their disappoinment, the tiger’s body rejected the artificial limb. just after they removed the prosthetic.

Ever since losing the paw and remaining in the trap since 2012, the male tiger was brought to Gorewada Rescue Centre in Nagpur where the operation was carried out for the nine-year-old to get the chance to walk over comfortably. The doctors informed that the animal was given anesthesia but as Sahebrao got the conscious back he realized the screwed object to his paw and thus felt the discomfort. Hence it was seen removing the same.

The doctors feel that it was during the strain on muscles that could have resulted in the animal to remove the same. The city orthopaedician Dr Sushrut Babhulkar along with the wildlife surgeon Dr Shirish Upadhye who seemed of the opinion that it was difficult for them to carry out the said operation when they tried to restore the missing link. Even an orthopedics professor from the University of Leeds had visited twice to Gorewada twice. But things did not work as planned. Stay tuned to know more about the animal and others only with us.
