Shakti Kapoor’s son and 4 others arrested in Bengaluru for taking drugs
According to the police, actor and assistant director, Siddhanth Kapoor in Bollywood was also a DJ at a party at the hotel.
Bengaluru: Brother of Bollywood’s famous actress Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor (37), and four others were arrested on charges of consuming drugs during a raid by Bengaluru city police at The Park Hotel in the Central Business District here late on Sunday. Siddhanth Kapoor is the son of Bollywood’s famous and much-loved actor Shakti Kapoor.
According to the police, actor and assistant director, Siddhanth Kapoor in Bollywood was also a DJ at a party at the hotel. Along with this, other people who were arrested included Akhil Soni (28), business manager of a private firm; Harjot Singh (28), head of operations of a logistics firm; Akhil Soni (23), a freelance photographer; and Hani Rafeeque (25), who is also into digital marketing.
ACP (East) Subramanyeshwar Rao has said that Ulsoor police raided the hotel late on Sunday on the basis of information about the use of banned substances at the party.
Subramanyeshwar Rao has told that more than 100 people had attended this party, and some of them had fled the premises. And the police were successful in apprehending about 35 people and their medical examination was also done. Urine tests of five of those caught have also confirmed the consumption of the drug.
DCP (East) Bheemashankar Guled has also said that Siddhanth Kapoor, son of Bollywood’s famous actor Shakti Kapoor, He is also among those who have tested positive for drug abuse.
Bheemashankar Guled has also said that “The police team has also searched the premises and two packets of drugs were also found near the dustbin. And one packet contained seven MDMA tablets and the other packet contained ganja weighing about 5 to 10 grams.”
All these five accused have been released on bail at the police station at midnight on Monday.
