Nattu Kaka aka Ghanshyam Nayak of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah passes away
Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, known across India for his long-time best portrayal of Nattu Kaka in Sony SAB's "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah", has died.
Mumbai: Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, known across India for his long-time best portrayal of Nattu Kaka in Sony SAB’s “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”, has died. Actor Ghanshyam Nayak has passed away in Mumbai on 3rd October. Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak was 77 years old.
Nayak breathed his last at Suchak Hospital in Mumbai around 5.30 pm on Sunday evening. Last year itself, Ghanshyam Nayak underwent surgery after nearly eight lumps were found in his neck. Nayak started taking chemotherapy sessions only after Ghanshyam Nayak was diagnosed with cancer.
Producers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Ghanshyam Nayak demise
Talking to the media, Asit Modi has confirmed the death of Ghanshyam. Asit Modi has said that the cast and entire crew of ‘TMKOC’ will miss Ghanshyam a lot.
Recalling his very long association with Ghanshyam, Asit Modi has also said that Ghanshyam Nayak was associated with Asit Modi since 2001.
And Ghanshyam was like a member of his family and said that Asit Modi shared a very close bond with Ghanshyam. We used to work together very happily.
Ghanshyam was a very sweet and a kind person also. We will all miss him very much.
Asit Modi has also revealed that Ghanshyam did not shoot for the show in the last few months due to very bad health. And the last time Ghanshyam got us together on the sets was about 3-4 months ago.

Ghanshyam has done very good work in more than 100 Gujarati and Hindi films during this very good career. Ghanshyam has dubbed more than 350 Gujarati films and acted in more than 100 Gujarati plays
Ghanshyam has featured in shows like ‘Sarathi’ and ‘Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka’ to name a few. It was only after playing the role of Natwarlal Prabhashankar Udaiwala in the famous show Taarak Mehta that people started liking Ghanshyam even more.
