NMC New Garbage Collection vans plying in the city with no RTO Nod
As the civic body embarked with a new system of garbage collection, we see new garbage vans plying at different localities of our Nagpur city. NMC has tied up with two big groups called AG Enviro Infraproject Private Limited along with BVG India, they have been behind the door to door collection of transportation to Bhandewadi dumping yard since November 16 seeking the help of these vehicles.
As per reports around 307 new vehicles are seen plying over the streets of Nagpur but as per the claims of the RTO, only 60 are registered with the RTO rest are still moving without formal permission from the transport body in the city. However, as per the sources close to the civic body, the two companies which are on the board for the work require 412 garbage collection vans.
They only have 307 for the same. They are seen doing things in phases and thus have only 60 permits to operate, while the next 60 vehicles’ permission in under the way. The RTO Official too has confirmed these details claimed by the BVG firm who are in the process of getting permission from the RTO. However, the media reports suggest that most of the vehicles plying in the city have no permission to move on the roads and thus can be put under the violation.
