NMC Officials & City Corporators Gap Widens, check details
As the civic body called the meeting of its officers with city collectors, there seemed some high voltage drama in the meeting. All thanks to the foul language used by the BJP leader Pravin Datke against the NMC officers on Monday that fuelled the issue in the meeting. As per the Hitavada Cityline news, Pravin Datke the senior BJP Leader in Nagpur was seen talking to some senior civic officers. The issue that was discussed included the political overtones at the backdrop of the fight between the civic body and political party.
Soon the discussion turned into a debate as it turned into a major controversy. Within minutes the civic officers were seen raising their hands to work anymore by putting their pen down as they protested against the language used by the senior BJP leader Datke who is also the former mayor of city. Currently, he is the senior corporator in Nagpur apart from being the MCL member of the city.
Later, the civic employees have met the NMC Chief Mr. Tukaram Mundhe. The meeting had Pramod Gawande, Assistant Director, Town Planning, NMC, who was the man who complained about Datke and the way he used some objectionable words against the officials. He even addressed one letter to the Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department (2), Maharashtra Government, wherein he has requested to take action against the foul language used by the Senior corporator in the meeting.
