As the election date for the coming elections has been announced by the Election Commission the officials seem to start their work. Now, the date for the nominations have commenced and most of the political parties and individuals contesting on the six constituencies of the city have been finalized. Yet the election office is yet to get the nomination at the office.
As per reports, for the 12 assembly seats in Nagpur district, more than 176 applications have been distributed. For the North Nagpur seat, only three forms were taken out for the Umred constituency so far. As per reports, so far not a single nomination was filed in the city. Now, with the dates opened for the submission of the nomination forms have been announced the political parties and individuals contesting for elections are getting into the final shape.
Most of the political parties have already collected the application forms for their concerned candidates likely to contest in the said seas. Some of the application forms for the areas for which the forms were distributed included the following:
- South-West Nagpur-15
- South Nagpur-23
- West Nagpur-15
- East Nagpur-10
- Central Nagpur Nagpur-20
- North Nagpur-33
- Kamptee-7
- Hingna-13
- Umred-3
- Katol-10
- Sanoer-9 and
- Ramtek-18
The deadline for submitting the nominations will end on 4th October and closes at 3pm sharp. While the date for withdrawing the nomination paper would be done on 7th October. The admin office has put forward a number of stringent measures to carry out the polls in a successful fashion and a number of squads have been arranged for the security of the people.
