Residents of Amar Nagar affected by incomplete civil work
The pipeline work which started about two months ago was completed, But the soil excavated on the road has not yet been cleared at all, due to which the traffic on the road is also crawling.
Nagpur: Let us tell you that the residents of Amar Nagar in South Nagpur have become very upset due to the plight of Chikhali Road.
The pipeline work which started about two months ago was completed, But the soil excavated on the road has not yet been cleared at all, due to which the traffic on the road is also crawling. Due to the dirt, the two-way road has now become one-way.
“Many residents, motorists, and other road users have also been inconvenienced by the one-way traffic. And the officials of Nagpur Municipal Corporation should also take steps and resolve the matter at the earliest,” said the resident.
About two weeks ago, after heavy rains, there was mud all over the place, so it had also met with an accident. Some people were also badly injured due to the collision of the cars.
The residents also allege that former councilor of the area Rajendra Sonkhusari is also completely ignoring the matter. Residents of Mahakali Nagar, New Amar Nagar, Adhyapak Nagar, Saraswati Nagar, Amar Nagar, and Shivshakti Nagar want the road repaired even before the onset of the monsoon.
Central India’s largest overhead tank is being built
Only after taking the matter to the higher authorities, the city administration has paid a lot of attention to the problem.
“We have already taken cognizance of the problem and started the restoration work,” Rajendra Sonkhusari said.
Also talking about the ongoing civil works in the pipeline, Rajendra Sonkhusari also said, “Central India’s largest overhead tank is being built in this area. As a result, we have laid pipelines for testing. Concreting takes time hence the delay.”
He has also assured that the entire concrete work will be completed in the next one and a half months.
He has also said that the new overhead tank will provide water to more than 120 colonies in the area. And till then the residents of Amar Nagar will have to wait for some more time for the work to be completed.
