The growing concern over the losing quality of air in the city has made every one remain to be conscious of the chopping trees except the rich and influential who prefer money over the environment. The chopping of trees has been illegal and as per reports, there seems to be a sudden rise in the city. Recently the civic body at the Laxmi Square has taken down the trees that were carried out over the name of beautification and other things that took place at 4 am in the morning when there was no one to stop or protest the same.
The shop owners along with the fruit sellers who have panted the trees way back in September were shocked to see the sudden chopping of the tree as they were able to find out only the trunk with no leaves around. One of the fruit seller called Rahul Saroj in the same stretch was seen telling that the trees were planted to make things cool and to give shade to people in the hot and scorching environment.
He further said that he along with others used to take good care and was maintained the best. Talking further the others in the locality said that it is no less than a crime to chop the trees this way and that they have lodged a complaint the Garden Department of the NMC. He said this has been done for the third time in a row and people are seen planting the trees as well in the coming time. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
