CBSE to pay over Rs 17 crore to its board exam centers

Given both the threat of Coronavirus and the potentially scorching heat of summer, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also dipped into this cash reserves and allocated crores of rupees for examination centers to purchase services and products for all the students.

Nagpur: To ensure proper arrangement for the students of CBSE thoroughly in the same year, they can also pay about Rs 17 crore as a special payment to the examination centers of their board.

Given both the threat of Coronavirus and the potentially scorching heat of summer, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also dipped into this cash reserves and allocated crores of rupees for examination centers to purchase services and products for all the students.

These guaranteed payments to schools will also be made under three categories. The first allocation of about Rs 3.71 crore is for the purchase of thermometers etc. for the examination centers. Which will act as the first line of defense to ensure that people with fever do not enter the premises at all.

CBSE’s controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj has said that they have around 7,422 exam centers and each will also get around Rs 5,000 for the same.

Simultaneously for the second installment of payment for schools also, CBSE will spend around Rs 10 crore for cleaning the school premises on each exam day. And the third and final expenditure of the Central Board of Secondary Education will be around Rs 3.85 crore only. Sanyam Bhardwaj also said so, this money is especially for providing completely safe drinking water to the examinees.

CBSE will be paying more than Rs.17 crores

Schools will also get the amount on the basis of the number of candidates that have been hosted by them. For sanitization also, schools can also collect a bill of Rs 5 per student from CBSE on every examination day. And to make available the facility of drinking water also, the schools will get Rs. 2 per examination day for each student.

When these numbers are also added to the registered students of about 35 lakhs, Each of which will also appear for about 5 subjects on an average, It is no surprise at all that CBSE will be paying more than Rs.17 crores.

A school principal has also said that the arrival of CBSE will definitely help a lot in managing the expenses. The principal has said that in any school in which about 300 or more students are present, For them it will be nothing less than an unexpected event because in the beginning, no one expected that CBSE would pay them. So then you too were expecting zero rupees, but then you are getting anywhere from around Rs 17,000 to Rs 25,000.
