The nine days often called Navaratri coming close to the Dusshera season remains the most awaited events in the city particularly for the ones who love dance. On this eve, the nine different avatars of the Goddess Durga are celebrated with gala time. The festival comes twice a year, while the second one falling close to Dusshera remains more interesting and on-demand in the city.
It is the festival of the victory of good over the evil and celebrates the triumph in its unique way. The nine days, however, has its own setup and ways to celebrate in the country, but in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and other adjoining areas, Garba remains the key attraction for the dance lovers. Come 29th September and we commence these special nine days that would end up by Dusshera festivals. Interesting food delicacies, vibrant color attires, and dance remain the part and parcel of these events.
The Navatra would start on this weekend and would remain till 29th September. The city will witness various garba night programs all across the city and it will have different color codes fixed for all the nine days starting with orange on 29th September and ending with Peacock Green on 7th October 2019. The other days would have colors like White (30 sep), Red (1st Oct), Royal Blue (2nd Oct), Yellow (3rd Oct), Green (4th Oct), Grey (5th Oct), and Purple (6th Oct).
