The SECR has launched a campaign against passengers who do not have a ticket
During the campaign, a total of 287,33,230 in fines were collected in 18,015 cases.
The Nagpur division of South East Central Railway (SECR) has started an initiative to prosecute passengers who travel without tickets and violate Covid safety regulations.
During the campaign, a total of 287,33,230 in fines were collected in 18,015 cases. A fine of 286,67,620 was collected from 17,779 unticketed passengers.
Similarly, 66 passengers were fined 28,010, 111 passengers without masks were fined 46,200, and 59 people were fined 11,400 for smoking. Maninder Uppal, divisional railway manager, has made an appeal to travelers with tickets to commute between August 1 and August 20, to take action against people traveling without tickets on the Nagpur-Durg section.
Vikas Kumar Kashyap, senior divisional commercial manager, oversaw the Gondia Balaghat, Jabalpur Gondia-Ballarshah, Itwari, and Chhindwara sections. The action in this matter was taken by Avinash Kumar Anand, assistant manager commercial, and Jitendra Tiwari.
