Three employees of school drowned in Kanhan river
All these persons were residents of the staff quarters in the Swami Narayan Mandir Trust premises in Wathoda.
Nagpur: On Saturday Swami Narayan Mandir Trust School in Wathoda 3 employees drowned in the Kanhan river. This case is of the Valna area on the banks of the Kanhan river at around 5.15 pm in the evening.
Harikrishna Waljibhai Limbachia (28), Abhishek Jitendrabhai Chavan (21), and Prashant Rajbhai Patel (23) deceased have been identified by Mouda police. All these persons were residents of the staff quarters in the Swami Narayan Mandir Trust premises in Wathoda.
Police have said that Abhishek was only a music teacher. While Prashant and Harikrishna were both office workers. And while Abhishek’s body has been retrieved from the river, search operations are still on for Prashant and Harikrishna.
According to the police, there is also one cowshed of the trust in Valna village. Due to Saturday being a holiday, about 10 teachers and non-teachers, including Sanskrit teacher Kantilal Haryani, had gone to Valna by school bus at around four o’clock in the evening.
Informed Mouda police
The police have also said that they had gone to take a bath in the river but could not assess the depth and flow of the water at all. As a result, all three persons drowned. And none of the 3 knew that how to swim.
Even after Hariyani and other accomplices shouted for help, the villagers in the immediate vicinity reached the spot and then 1 informed the Mauda police.
Senior Police Inspector of Mouda police station named Hemant Kumar Khade. A police team under his leadership had reached there.
Along with this, Abhishek’s body has been sent for postmortem. The search operations at Prashant and Harikrishna had been called off completely for the day due to darkness and will resume once again in the early hours of Sunday. And Mouda police have registered accidental death.
