Union Minister Gadkari Calls a Review Meet for COVID 19 in Nagpur
With the situations turning from bad to worse in terms of the COVID 19 spread in the country, more and more people are concerned about the same. The Union Minister for Transport and HIghway, Mr. Nitin Gadkari was seen calling a meeting at the MLA Hostel calling all the MPs and the MLA of the city along with delegates of NGOs and Health groups to discuss the preventive measures being taken place in the city. It was carried out in association with the ruling party of the Maha Government.
He called the meeting as an observer as appointed by the Union Government. This is the first of its kind of meeting in the city ever since the outbreak of the deadly virus in the city. While talking in the meeting, the Minister directed all the hospitals in Nagpur including GMC, IGMCH, AIIMS to prepare a detailed report about the cases they are reported day in and day out. He said that even the developed nations are not able to control the situation which has led more than 13 lakhs people getting affected by the same.
He said more than 73000 people have been dead with this virus and more are getting affected from it. He also expressed his concern on the dearth to the basic equipment and testing kits. The people who attended the meeting include the city Mayor Mr. Sandeep Joshi, BJP MP Vikas and BJP Corporator to name a few. He also expressed his concern for the higher cost in edible oil.
