VNIT Students Kicks of an Initiative -Prayaas: Joy of Giving
VNIT is not just a prestigious Engineering College of our City but remains the high ranked NIT in our country as well. It is known for all the good reasons in the city and abroad. Thanks to the bright student that make wonders in their career but also make a great difference in the lives of the underprivileged people with their social clubs. The recent initiative by the students of VNIT called Prayas: Joy Of Giving through their social club bears testimony to this fact.
In this campaign, they will collect many things during the 28th September to 6th October 2019, which was clubbed with their annual college festival along with the Delhi based NGO called Goonj founder and a Raman Magsaysay Awardee Mr. Anshu Gupta. The initiative has also got support from VNIT-Alumni Association, Rotary Club of Nagpur, IOCL, and Rotary MIHAN to gain strong contribution for the noble cause.
With this campaign, they would be able to offer a good supporting hand collecting quality reusable items like blankets, clothes, newspapers, groceries, stationery, and medicines to name a few with the help of kiosks established at 29 different centers across Nagpur. After the campaign, they would distribute the stuff collected under different categories including Family kit, Dignity kit and school kit to the concerned target audience. The NGO is a nationwide movement that has operated in not less than 150 places in India and has worked with countless groups in different areas to make the difference in the lives of the poor and needy people.
