Mohan Bhagwat: No need to find Shivling in every mosque
Referring to the Gyanvapi Masjid issue, Mohan Bhagwat has also said that there have been many incidents in history. These events cannot be changed at all by the Hindus or the Muslims of the country.
Nagpur: Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has said that there is no need to create more controversy over places of worship. He has also said that the issue of Gyanvapi Masjid can also be completely resolved amicably by Hindus and Muslims.
“There is absolutely no need to see Shivling in every mosque,” Mohan Bhagwat said while addressing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh workers who were completely out of the third year training course in the city.
Mohan Bhagwat said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had participated in the Ayodhya temple campaign “for some very important reason”. He said that it had also been made very clear that the organization would not be a part of any new movement at all, there was no need to raise new disputes every day.

Decision must be acceptable to both parties
Bhagwat said that Hindus while raising any such issue should understand that Muslims are their own people whose faith had completely changed. If they are all set to return, they will certainly welcome them with open arms. Even if you don’t want to, there is absolutely no reason to be angry. Indians already worship many gods. There are many religions in the country and Muslims will remain one of them.
Mohan Bhagwat also said that the issue of Gyanvapi Masjid can also be resolved through dialogue between both communities. If it goes to court, then the decision must be acceptable to both parties.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief said that both the communities also need to exercise restraint and not provoke each other. He said that Hindus have always “shown restraint”.
