Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Faces Tough Time After rejecting Audi Q5 Claim
It was a bad time for the Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Nagpur office when the State Consumer Commission penalized the company for rejecting the claim of the owner of an Audi Q5. The State Consumer Commission then asked the insurance company has asked for Rs 15.14 lakh claim and the addition of 9 percent as interest along with adding the Rs 50,000 compensation for harassing the Audi consumer.
As per reports, the complaint was filed by the client M/s Mumbai Goods Transport Garage with its partner S Gurlal Singh s/o Kapoor Singh Tuli. However, when the said consumer was seen asking for the claim from the insurance company, they denied compensating the claim for the repairing of the damaged car that has met with an accident and got it repaired at the authorized garage.
The consumer had the comprehensive insurance policy, which the owner of the Audi has procured on May 29, 2016. However, the accident was met on June 13, 2016, at around 11 o’clock, when the son of the complainant Ravinder pal Tuli was seen meeting an accident with his Audi having a huge damages. The consumer was then advised to claim for the same via the authorized service center.
There was a delay from the insurance company in terms of the survey and other things. Despite all efforts, the company kept the case at the backburner allowing the cusstomer to knock the doors of the consumer court. After hearing the case, the State Commission had issued the stern decision against the company for the claims made by them.
