Jitendra Kukde: The NMC will soon deploy all the Aapli Buses

The official also said that before the arrival of covid-19, NMC used to manage 360 ​​buses with more than 1.5 lakh passengers using the service, The daily revenue was around Rs 17 to 20 lakh. However, routes like Sitabuldi to Khaparkheda and Butibori to Hingna are getting very good response because Khapri Depot tops the revenue chart at number one. And in this depot, where the revenue of a bus is about 22 rupees per kilometer, and electric buses are earning very less per kilometer. Six women-only electric buses have not left much of their mark so far. And in the data found, it has been told that the earning per kilometer of all these buses is only and only up to 7.79 kilometers.

Jitendra Kukde also pointed out and said that “increasing the frequency of buses due to peak hours can reduce the density,” and added, “NMC should accept an alternative approach by increasing the duration of the ticket so that all passengers are less. to wait for less crowded vehicles.”
