Aqua Line of City Metro on Hold as the wait for CM and PM continues
With a government coming in place, the Maha Metro officials have written to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the State Urban Development officials informing that the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro is ready for the inauguration and that the CM and PM should spare time to inaugurate it. It is a metro stretch between Sitabuldi to Lokmanya Nagar which is known as Aqua Lien or Reach III. The officials of Maha Metro are hopeful that the inauguration would take place during the winter session which is to be seen in the city between 16 to 21.
This is the time when the CM can invite the PM to Nagpur and consider their plea to inaugurate the Line ready to operate. Usually, the CM can invite the PM irrespective of the party or alliance he or she has come out from. So, considering this option, Mr.Uddhay Thackeray has the option of calling Mr. Modi for the inauguration of the Aqua Line, which is ready to operate.
As per reports, the said line was supposed to be kicked off by the PM on 1st September, however, with the heavy rainfall prediction, the visit to the city of Mr. Modi was canceled leading to the delay. Then came the elections, which ended in a bad shape and the government of BJP and Shiv Sena could not work and things got delayed to finally see a government after a long gap. Well, we have many more issues that kept things dragging. The officials now hoping that Mr. Modi would join the CM when he is in the city this Winter Session.
