Nagpur: The city unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party continues to expose its leaders along with past positions even after its term in the NMC ended almost 15 days ago. Violations are not being noticed at all.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation administration has not initiated any action at all. And even the Rana Pratap Nagar police had given permission for the event on March 11, with Dive addressed as the chairman of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation Education Advisory Committee.
The Bharatiya Janata Party had also organized a function to honor Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday. For the promotion of the program, the city unit of the party put up hoardings at many places on Thursday and this trend continued on Friday as well.
In the hoardings, Dayashankar Tiwari has been described as the Mayor, Manisha Dhawade as the Deputy Mayor, and Avinash Thackeray as the leader of the ruling party in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
Party has not done anything wrong
The term of about 156 councilors has ended. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation administration had organized a farewell program for all the corporators on the date of March 4. The state government had also appointed municipal commissioner Radhakrishnan B as an administrator with the powers of the general body, standing committee, and city transport committee with effect from 5th March.
Radhakrishnan has also pointed out that it is absolutely wrong to continue using the previous nomenclature. He has said that he will order the inspection in accordance with the bye-laws after clarification from the persons concerned.
Bharatiya Janata Party city president Praveen Datke has said that the party has not done anything wrong at all.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Prafulla Gudadhe has also targeted Bharatiya Janata Party. He has said that Bharatiya Janata Party has got used to rule and they also make fun of rules. This is nothing short of an abuse of respected designations. People will decide their fate.
