A few rounds of discussions have also taken place with the Medical Education Minister. Finally, doctors have also got assurance in writing that in a month these problems will be solved.

Dr. Golavar has said that he has decided to get involved in patient care along with conducting academic classes for PG and UG students from the date of March 18.

The proposal to implement the CAS for medical teachers will be tabled for cabinet approval very soon. Doctors holding PG in the Department of Health are getting a lot of benefits of non-compounding increments at present. Doctors working in medical colleges under the DMER were also demanding the same. And for this demand, a study group will also be formed by the Department of Medical Education and Research. This study team will submit its report to the government itself.
Most of the central demands of the doctors have already been considered and they have also been given a very strong assurance. Maharashtra State Medical Teachers Association has also mentioned in its statement that they are stopping the strike for about a month. As assured by the Minister, after seeing the progress will decide the further course of action. The Director of Education, Medical has also agreed to meet the Maharashtra State Medical Teachers Association delegation about once every three months to discuss their issues.
