Bhide Girls Rally to Celebrate Gandhi Jayanti
The City school Bhide Girls close to Anand Talkies in Sitabuldi was first to report about the celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi the father of the nation by taking out rally of their school. As per reports, the school that remains the oldest girls school in the city had come out for the big day celebrations on the street of the city. Bhide Girls in association with the cultural group called the South Central Zone Cultural Center Nagpur had jointly organized the campaign.
More than 150 students from the school were seen in the Gandhi dress with slogans “Main Bhi Gandhi and “Swachhta hi Seva in the year 2019-20 for the program called – Gandhi Yatra. The rally also witnessed the street play showcasing the message which Gandhi has given to the people of our country while fighting against the British. Around 13 girls were seen with the Kasturba’s costumes while going out for a rally.
Talking about the rally, the journey for the rally commenced from the School premises of Bhide Girls early in the morning and then it headed towards the Variety square via Munje Chowk while the students were seen showcasing the message of Gandhiji’s life. Later the girls were seen moving towards Buldi Main Road via the Hanuman lane and then they returned to the school. The cleanliness drive program titled, ‘Swachhta hi Seva 2019-20’also witnessed students showcasing different placards meant to create awareness about the use of plastic.
