5000 rupees reward for good people who take road accident victims to hospital

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has come out with a new scheme to appreciate the efforts of all those who save lives in case of road accidents.

The government has said that if anyone takes a road accident victim to a hospital within the “golden hour” and saves that person’s life.

Then the person who saved the life would be rewarded for his effort. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has also issued some guidelines for this new scheme. This scheme will start from 15 October 2021 and will run till 31 March 2026.

Good Samaritan Rs. 5,000 per incident

The biggest objective of this scheme of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is to motivate every common person to help the victims of road accident in emergency situation and to save innocent lives of others.

The prize money for each Good Samaritan will be Rs. 5,000 per event and each cash prize will be accompanied by a certificate of appreciation to that individual. Golden Hour is a period of one hour after a traumatic injury. And providing immediate medical care to the victim of that road accident is most likely to prevent his death.

Issuing the guidelines of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. It has been said that a person Good Samaritan can be honored only a maximum of five times in a year. And the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has also said that there will be 10 national level awards for the best deserving persons and for this one will be selected from amongst all those who have been awarded throughout the year. And then each will be awarded with a prize of up to Rs 1,00,000.

It has been said in the notification that if more than one Good Samaritan saves the life of more than one victim. Then the amount of the prize would be about Rs.5,000 for each person saved, subject to a maximum of Rs.5,000 per Good Samaritan.
