Bollywood movie Jhund on City Sports Activist Vijay Barse to release on 13th December
Vijay Barse is no more a celebrity in Nagpur. After all, we now see a film based on this sports activist called Jhund to be released this year. The man behind founding a sports promotion NGO among the poor and the needy called Slum Soccer seems to have garnered a good buzz around his endeavors which he has been doing since more than a decade. The film has megastar called Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of Barse.
Jhund is a biopic made on our city hero Mr. Vijay Barse who had the vision to make the children from slum areas to prosper in sports. The film is produced by T-Series owned by Bhushan Kumar along with a slew of other filmmakers in B TOwn. Big B is playing the leading man’s role in it and was here last year to shoot the film. The Sairat fame director Nagraj Manjule is the director of Jhund and him along with his cast and crew was based in Nagpur for several weeks to complete the film in Nagpur.
The city cine-goers would be able to watch many of their favorite locations of the city including the premises of St. John’s School which was used to shoot for the film. Many of the students passed out from SJS would be proud to see their school over the silver screen along with glorifying the sports activist of our city. So, all eyes are on 13th December 2019 when the film is hitting the screen. The film has hit the floor last December and completed this August. It was slated to release on 20th September but due to some technical reasons, the film was pushed till December.
