License Scam in Nagpur: 9 RTO officials arrested on Fraud

The Nagpur Police clamp down nine RTO officials who were involved in some fraud cases against 17 people of the city, which included nine people from the department. The arrest was taken place following the complaint made by Mr. Martand Newaskar the assistant road transport officer. He visited the Sitabuldi police station and then complained to the nine official before the cops. Vikas Dindure the PI of Sitabuldi Police Station recorded his statement and then acted.

The cops then lodged an FIR and gave the copy to the RTO officer. Cops then launched their search operation to catch the culprits who have carried out the fraud in the department. It was RTO who assigned the work to the RTO officer who approached the police to complain. When Police caught the officials involved in the crime they denied their involvement in the said case.

The officials were noticing certain irregularities in the tests carried out by the people and then the cyber cell Nagpur department was notified about the same. The cyber cell then carried out the inquiry following the complaint tracking the IP addresses with the fraud. They scanned the data of the candidates in detail to catch the culprits. As per reports, in April 2017 to March 2018 around 29,076 people applied for the test, while 22,086 of the same were accommodated without even the appointments and processed under the VIP quota. This led the suspicion and further clamped down the case to find out culprits.Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
