Insect Walk for Students by Gorewada Forest Dept
For the students of Nagpur University, it was an interesting experience for them to come close to Mother Nature. The Gorewada Forest department had organised an Insect walk trail for the Nagpur University college students particularly for the one from the Live Sciences. The key motive behind organising the program is to offer the students an interesting experience and thus help them explore the flora and fauna at the man-made and natural reserve forest areas of Gorewada.
The students of colleges like Hislop College, Forensic Science College, Mohata Science College, and the Seva Dal Women’s College participated actively in the given program. While talking about the same, Shubham Chapekar the known entomologist explained the motive behind organizing the insect walk where it stated that it helped the students to keep them abreast with the identification and significance of insects.
Pandurang Pakhle the regional forest officer of Nagpur region was also present at the program and he informed that the Gorewada nature trail seems to be busting with biodiversity. While one can even witness bug marks of the leopard, along with the number of other species of birds, butterflies, reptiles, insects and the wild flora. This remains the best season he said for the wildlife lovers for the Gorewada nature trail.
