Kanishk Modi never felt any particular love for studying. He was berated by his elders and teachers with the usual, “If you don’t study, you won’t have a future.”
In a society where marks are a measure of a man’s self worth. And if you can’t quote Euclid’s postulates, you’re a failure, it can be very hard to prove your expertise in non-academic interests.
It’s even harder when you start working at the age Kanishk did – at 16. At 16 topping your exams is all you should be focused on.
But Kanishk had a lot of dreams and an ambition to do something big, hence he was willing to take the risk of stepping away from the sheep’s herd.
Today, at the age of 18 he runs a successful Instagram page, is an expert in the field of digital marketing and runs several online businesses.
The widely loved @singles_gram, @all_about_love, @meri_pagli_crush and @Thetrollsgag, accounts on Instagram are owned and run by Kanishk. These accounts have a follower base of over 7 lakh people.
He has worked with many brands and helped them run advertisements and campaigns. He has exceptional experience when it comes to promoting movies, web series etc.
He has been able to get so far in such little time, and at a young age because he had an unbreakable spirit. Critics made him work harder, fake friends made him careful and problems only served to make him more determined.
When we asked him if he could share advice for the youngsters out there, he said, “There will be many people who will judge you and give unwanted advice without even knowing you. Do not take such people seriously. Know what you want, and give your best efforts to achieve this.”
