To create awareness about traffic violations and safety, the Nagpur Traffic Police has left no stone unturned to make people aware of the same. With constant drives and awareness campaigns, the police have made sure to make everyone aware of the traffic rule to allow smooth traffic. They have used technology to make things smooth for implementing the traffic rules in the city. Also, they have experimented with a couple of things as well.
The recent addition in the installation of alarm bells for the traffic violators who cross the stop line on the signals. So, whenever a red signal people are crossing the white stop line would witness an alarm indicating the violations. The alarm system was introduced in the city traffic signals and it was inaugurated by Dr. Bhushan Kumar, the Commissioner Traffic Nagpur City. Earlier, the team has tested the system to be working fine and then it was introduced finally with the formal introduction of the same.
This will allow the traffic violators to return within the stop line. Now, talking about this system, it has been developed by two students. Two engineering students have designed this system which uses laser rays that emit during the red signal and anyone crossing the same would lead to the alarm. The idea was first discussed by DCP Traffic Mr. Gajanan last year when he said that they need a system that can alert the Traffic Cops and the violator for jumping the signals and now the two students have done it.
