Nagpur: In the latest development, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Nagpur Rural Police has registered an offense related to a strip show at Mouda police station on Monday. The new crime was registered after it came to light that a strip show was organized on the lines of Brahmni village of Umred in Bhugaon, Nagpur Rural.
Under the leadership of subdivision police officer Pooja Gaikwad, the Special Investigation Team had produced about 11 accused in the court on Monday. Apart from three organizers of Brahmni village and a prominent member of Alex Dance Group, seven others have been sent to judicial custody.
The Special Investigation Team had on Sunday arrested around three women who danced in the show of Alex Dance Group. Two women were also made witnesses in these cases while one was made co-accused but was not arrested.
Dance program was organized
Pooja has said that during the interrogation of the members of the dance group, it has been found that they had organized a similar show on the date of January 20 in Bhugaon, Mauda. After which the offense was registered. In this latest case, the police have also got the clip of a video, After which FIR has been registered. They are also trying to find out where else the group has performed.
It is also learned that a ‘Shankarpat’ or bull race was organized in Bhugaon, After which a dance program was also organized on the pretext of the cultural evening. Sources also said that the villagers have claimed that they enjoyed the dance ‘Lavani’ and not the strip show. The police had earlier registered a case of bull running.
A dance program was organized on the pretext of a cultural evening after a bullock cart race in Brahmni village of Umred taluka on the date of 17 January. And the videos of this strip show had gone viral, Due to which a case has been registered against about 12 people in this case.
