Police included in Gadkari’s security team dismissed from service
Sources have said that Rajesh was dismissed for being absent from work for too long. He is also facing an open investigation by the State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for having assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
Nagpur: Nitin Gadkari Union Minister (UM) and his former (PSO) Personal Security Officer named Rajesh Tomar. He has been dismissed from service by the city’s police chief Amitesh Kumar about a week ago.
Rajesh also has a younger brother in the police department. He was suspended for a very long time before being removed from service.
Sources have said that Rajesh was dismissed for being absent from work for too long. He is also facing an open investigation by the State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for having assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
After receiving a complaint, the anti-corruption bureau investigation was started against Tomar in the month of February. And then it is revealed that the state anti-corruption bureau was alerted by a relative about all the assets of Rajesh. And the police had disclosed each of their illicit relations after the complaint was registered inside the police station of Bajaj Nagar.
Allegations against Rajesh Tomar
According to the complaint, an officer has said that Rajesh has several properties. And that property is also in partnership with a businessman.
CP Amitesh Kumar has said that all the charges against Rajesh have been proved at the time of departmental inquiry. “After the entire departmental inquiry rajesh was dismissed. In which all the allegations of investigation against Rajesh have been found to be absolutely true. And he had been absent from duty for a long time,” Amitesh said, adding that all the assets of Rajesh were under investigation and are still being probed in parallel.
He has also said that Rajesh was stopped as personal security officer of the minister more than 1 year back. During the rule of my predecessor after being in office for a long time.
Sources have also said that Rajesh had earned trust in Gadkari as personal security officer even before the minister himself objected to all his alleged activities.
According to the official, Nitin interacted with several members of his own team including Rajesh. He distanced himself only after getting information about his interference in some work.
In another action, Kumar had also sacked Wathoda police station head constable named Roshan Ugale earlier this week. When Odisha Police arrested him for possessing 22 kg of ganja.
