Prism Eye & City Heart Clinic Come Together for Cardiothon 2019


Yesterday was the World Heart Day and as decided, the city witnessed the health and fitness event called Cardiothon 2019 where people from Nagpur walked for a healthy heart. The event was made possible with the efforts of Prism Eye and a leading city cardiac care clinic. The event was organized in Ambazari at the beautiful scenic biodiversity park based at Ambazari, and people from all walks of life have come to participate.

The event was organized in three different categories – starting from 2 km, 5.5km, and 10 km. People all across the city had participated walking with their friends and health loving people. They enjoyed the walk amidst a serene atmosphere of biodiversity park. The leading cardiologist of Nagpur Dr Pankaj Harkut stressed on the idea of becoming physically active to defy the heart diseases. He then stressed on consuming the right nutrition in day to day life. The participants present at the event pledged to become physically active.

The event was supported by Rtn. Piyush Fatepuriya, along with Rtn. Sharad Taori, and Rtn. Manoj Kakani of the known group – Rotary club of Nagpur. They were joined by Ishanya and President Mrs. Sunita Navandar of the club. The city mayor Mrs. Nanda Jichkar was also presented along with the nature lover Dilip Chinchmalhadpure who were seen felicitating the winners in various categories.
