Hindu village gifts loudspeakers in mosque on Eid
Residents of Kelwad village in district Buldhana hosted a group of Muslims from Kinhola, about 6 km away, on Tuesday and the loudspeaker was also handed over to the Maulvi in charge of the mosque as a symbol of harmony.
Nagpur: A Maharashtra village without a single Muslim family has gifted a loudspeaker to a mosque in an adjoining village on Eid that it is very clear where it stands on the ongoing controversy over the use of sound systems in places of worship.
Residents of Kelwad village in district Buldhana hosted a group of Muslims from Kinhola, about 6 km away, on Tuesday and the loudspeaker was also handed over to the Maulvi in charge of the mosque as a symbol of harmony. And along with this, Kinhola is the only village in that belt where this mosque is located.
Senior citizen Ganesh Nikam has said that Muslims and Hindus have been living together in these villages for many centuries. They don’t have any problems or complaints about each other at all. And at the same time trying too much to create this same new rift between the communities of politicians to polarize votes, Who had come up with the idea of giving loudspeakers to the Kinhola Masjid.
Appealed to village youth not to participate in anti-loudspeaker protest
Umesh Patil, president of the Village Shanti Samiti, has also said that the purpose of this initiative was that there was also a symbolic protest. They also believe that the motive behind suddenly raising the issue of loudspeakers is to start communal riots in the state. Muslims and Hindus live peacefully in rural areas of Maharashtra.
Social activist Nandu Borbale has also appealed to the youth of the village not to participate in the anti-loudspeaker protest at all. He has said that neither politicians nor any upper-class people will send their sons and daughters to sing Hanuman Chalisa in front of mosques. They don’t want more such provocations at all. The youth of his village should also pay good attention to their studies.
Maulana of Kinhola mosque has said that loudspeakers are already installed in the Dargah, But in times of trouble gladly accepted it as a “gift of love” from the residents of Kelwad.
