WCL appreciated for its work at CSR Awards
Every day, some efforts are taken for the development of society and some people take a step forward to serve the public. Many schemes are approved but hardly a few provide the benefits that the common man keeps searching for. There are many organizations and teams that have taken an oath to render services in the welfare of the people. Western Coalfields Limited has emerged as one of them to serve the public and has won the hearts of all by their tremendous work.
CSR Awards were recently held and WCL has won accolades for its fabulous work. Western Coalfields Limited has been appreciated by all for its work from all around. They won the award for best practices at the occasion. Thet won the award for their project “Pankh”.
Under project “Pankh”, 38 sanitary napkin vending machines were installed in various schools across Chandrapur and Nagpur districts. Sri Rajiv R. Mishra is the CMD of WCL. He thanked the employees of the company and made sure they too get credits along with him, for their work. He stated that the team should work more efficiently henceforth, and be more focused towards CSR activities. The other members of the WCL team are Avinash Reddy, Sri Rajesh Nair, Binej Kumar and Fanindra Korada. They too received an award at Hyderabad.
All the four of them were awarded at the 6th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility & Best Practices in CSR Awards. The conference was organised by Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad from 30-31st January, 2020.
