Demand for investigation after use of WCL vehicles, employees for private picnics
On Saturday, a picnic was organized for the family members of Western Coalfields Limited officials in the area of Chandrapur in Hanuman Mandir, Chichapalli, about 20 km from the city on the Chandrapur-Mul road.
Chandrapur: Misuse of official employees, properties, and vehicles of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) for picnics for Women’s Club Western Coalfields Limited in the area of Chandrapur is being raised a lot. National Secretary of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) whose name is KK Singh. He has demanded an inquiry into the incident and recovery of expenses from the officials involved in excessive abuse of power.

And along with this, the officials of Western Coalfields Limited had arranged everything for private picnics of their own family members at the cost of this company. And Indian National Trade Union Congress leader KK Singh has said that the official cars of Western Coalfields Limited officials took his own family members to the picnic site. Whereas without any official cars, the family members of all these officers were taken in a Western Coalfields Limited bus.
Cooks working in WCL Guest House
This company’s transport vehicle was used to transport much needed picnic material. The cooks working in the guest house of Western Coalfields Limited were taken to prepare the food on the same spot. KK Singh has also alleged that security personnel was also deployed on that occasion.
He has also said that going on this picnic and then having fun is his personal matter and no one is against it at all. However, it is against the law to use the personnel, properties, and vehicles of this company for personal entertainment, KK Singh alleged. He has demanded an inquiry into the matter and action against the guilty officials. And he has also demanded recovery of expenses on employees and vehicles from the salary of the officers responsible for it.
The General Manager of Western Coalfields Limited Region whose name is Muhammad Sabir. He has claimed to have no knowledge of this incident at all. However, they agreed that it is completely against the rules to use company properties and vehicles for purely personal entertainment. He has also said that he will also get the matter investigated.
