They feel that the colleges in the region should aspire to get the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation as now we see top companies and corporates are reaching Nagpur for recruiting students.
As per them, there seems to be an increase in the number of companies coming to Nagpur and to get the placements for entry and middle-level positions. Hence they feel that the students should have the quality in terms of education. Hence they must maintain quality education as per the norms that can further give them the NAAC accreditation.
These opinions came out in the form of a survey carried out by an educational body in Nagpur which carried out a set of questions about colleges in the region. The survey also revealed how despite having so many numbers of colleges including the professional studies colleges like Engineering, Medicine and Management, but they all lag in terms of quality education. Dr Pramod Pabrekar, the Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) adviser also added some key points in the survey saying that more than 50 per cent of colleges and universities in the region should get the autonomous status.
Citing the reason, he said, the autonomy would help the colleges gain liberty to implement their own systems and methods of education that can further help in boosting up the quality of education. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
