JP Nadda to be the next BJP Chief
Jagat Prakash Nadda is the working president of BJP. He is probably the next BJP Chief. He will be taking over the charge from Amit Shah as the process of electing a new party Chief commences today. He is expected to be elected today.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is organising a function at the headquarters of the party. All the eminent leaders will be attending the function. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the occasion with Home Minister Amit Shah. They will also be delivering a speech to congratulate the new Chief, as reported. Renowned names like Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh and parliamentary board members alongwith ex-chiefs of the party will be proposing Nadda’s name for the post. All the other members of the BJP National Council are reported to be agreeing to the joint decision. The process of nomination is likely to begin around 10:30 am and Nadda might be the unopposed winner.
The timings for filing the nominations extends from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the analysis of the nomination procedure will be further done for one hour. Any nominee wanting to step back may withdraw his name from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. As per reports, Nadda is the only candidate filing nominations for the post and hence, no voting will be carried out. If any other candidate files nomination then voting will be done on Tuesday. Nadda’s nomination goes unopposed for the post and therefore, the announcement for the next party Chief will be done by BJP today.
