Nagpur: Railway Protection Force and city police swung into action after some low-intensity detonators were found at Nagpur railway station around 9 pm on Monday.
There was a huge crowd around when the detonator was found, causing a ‘bomb threat’ for some time.
Then the area around the spot on the main side of the railway station was completely cordoned off and heavy police arrangements were made.
The city is already on the radar of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), whose operator has also claimed to have conducted recce of sensitive places in the city itself.

Simultaneously, this explosive material was kept in a black laptop bag which had been left behind the traffic booth at the railway station just opposite the Government Railway Police (GRP) station.
According to Ashutosh Pandey, Senior divisional security commissioner the detonators and wires were found suspiciously.
Along with this, a traffic police had seen that bag, Who had informed the Government Railway Police and the city police. The sniffer dogs of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad called by both the Government Railway Police and the city police chief Amitesh Kumar had also fully confirmed the presence of explosive material in the bag.
The suspected explosive material had been transferred to the police headquarters by experts, which had been surrounded. And in the presence of CP and other senior officers also the explosives have been defused. The CP has said that they are looking into various aspects very thoroughly and trying hard to get the CCTV footage as well.
